High Technology Incubator

HTI's Leadership

The RIT Offices of the Vice President of Finance & Administration and the Associate Provost for Outreach Programs provide Incubator administration and oversight.

Dr. Donald Boyd - HTI President
RIT Associate Provost for Outreach Programs

  • recruits incubator participants
  • evaluates candidates for Incubator participation
  • explores and expands relationships between Incubator participants and campus resources

Sharon Edwards - HTI Operations Coordinator

  • on-site coordinator of Incubator activities including Incubator and commercial tenant relations, point-of-contact for inquiries and building related matters
  • oversees space and building issues within the Incubator, including renovations, technology, telecommunications
  • coordinates utilization of shared conference rooms & business equipment
  • coordinates routine on-site visits of service providers
  • provides support for programmatic events
  • provides Notary Public services to Incubator Participants

Lyn Kelly - HTI Finance
Associate Controller, RIT Finance and Administration

  • participates in the evaluation of candidates for Incubator participation
  • prepares annual operating budgets
  • coordinates service providers, including venture coaching, legal services, banking providers, accounting firms
  • negotiates rental agreements for both Incubator participants and commercial tenants

Dr. James Watters - HTI Treasurer
RIT Vice President for Finance and Administration

  • evaluates candidates for Incubator participation
  • performs due diligence on equity investment candidates
  • establishes relationships with venture capitalists for possible co-investment in equity candidates
  • approves rental agreements negotiated by Associate Controller
